LIFE IS BUT A DREAM

I was on a zoom call and the speaker shared this.  It is so freeing for me.  “Row, Row, Row your boat gently down the stream. Life is but a dream. You have been led to believe that you are something other than Divine. The boat is the soul, which is the Infinite, the Truth of Who you are. The dream is everything that you can see, touch, or feel. You want freedom, but you have identified with the illusion. It is time to unburden the boat and throw everything overboard. You don’t have problems or issues. You’ve just identified with these things, but they are not the Truth of what you are. Who and What you are is not born and does not die. Infinite is what you are. Everything else is just the experience of being a human being. You are that boat being rowed gently down the stream. So, remember all of this is but a dream.”

I love that.  It is so profoundly simple that it makes me giddy inside. For years I have heard that in one way or another, especially through A Course in Miracles (ACIM). It says this world is an illusion we created, and we have never left the heart of God. For many years I felt like there was always one more spiritual practice, workshop, retreat, or book to be done and experienced before I could be whole or awakened or whatever you want to call it.  However, I must be in a different place in consciousness because I am hearing that message more clearly now and experiencing it on a deeper level.  Realizing this wholeness that I already am frees me to simply be my Divine Self. Knowing that could change tomorrow because in this dream realm, we go in and out of these realizations.

So, I will do what I am guided to do.  However, I will have a different frame of mind when I am doing it. I can float gently down the stream and experience it all without an agenda that I have to accomplish or do anything else to be Divine because I already am. I will do what I enjoy and flow with it.

Some things don’t feel very enjoyable but when I realize it’s a dream, it’s not so personal or dramatic. I am watching it like I am in a movie, and I am one of the characters in the movie. It can be a dramatic movie or a comedy or a romantic movie. It can be anything that shows up for me to experience. My job is to experience it all with no attachment to it being anything other than what it is.  It will be what it will be. So, I might as well enjoy the dream.

Be the love and peace you want to see in the world.
